Great question Tracey and for non-Jordanian residents you can get your VAT refunded @Queen Alia International Airport when you are returning home. The VAT amount must be more than 50 JD and you can't get a VAT refund on food, hotel expenses, gold or mobile phones. Now I say this fair warning that of course here in Jordan you never really know what the new policy is so this may be old, but airport is your best option. Hope that helps :)
