my money would be on the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum , you'd be shocked at how many beautiful pieces there are there and how wonderfully well kept everything is. Some nights there are even events and you can be a member and receive invites. Definitely worth it if you're into the arts and living in Boston.

The Institute Of Contemporary Art usually has some cool exhibitions that go on, and its pretty- right on the waterfront- you can sit on the steps during summer and look out onto the sea..
