Where can I play badminton at a reasonable cost?

I only know of 2 places that have badminton so I will let you know and you can see which you consider a reasonable cost. @Etisalat academy they have a sports club with indoor badminton. And also Sportzone @Fitness First even if you are not a member you can rent the court and equipment out.

@Fitness First the uptown Mirdif branch for sure. you can also try the @pavillion club but it's quite pricey.

Where can I find the best fitness centre?

I would definitely recommend @Fitness First from personal experience. I opted for their 3 month membership programme. I got 3 free sessions with a personal trainer who explained how to use all the equipments and also prepared a report on where I need to focus on losing weight,what type of diet I need to consume. They have a separate section for resistance training and cardio also. I think their range of equipments is large and if you need help, their staff is friendly too. The best part would be the "Group exercise" classes- they have everything from zumba,belly dancing, various types of yoga(flow yoga, body balance etc) ,pilates and cycling club. There`s a small ladies only gym also :)

Where can I find the best gym when it comes to machines and facilities?

Nothing says Fitness and Work out like @Fitness First and all the other @Fitness First 's in Dubai. Offering a large number and wide variety of machines and facilities to choose from and also different rates and packages to chose from that best suit you and your daily schedules, ranging at different prices and activities too.
