Honestly all routers these days have continued to get weaker and weaker as the technology has improved it's really odd. I used to have an amazing old Linksys router that would have a range of over 500 meters and allow me to sit outdoors even when it was indoors on the other side of my house. Now days what I did is get an apple time capsule (which allows you to save and back up your data from whatever computer you have on the network to one centralized hard drive) and then buy one or two boosters in the form of a airport express. Not only does it boost the internet but it also allows you to play music wirelessly from iTunes to your speakers. That's my advice...the whole set up will cost you around $350 minimum if you get good deals on ebay but it's easy to setup and you'll be all set for life and have an amazing multimedia network too!

You make a good point if you're staying for a year its not worth it. If you're going to get a power line extender at least make sure that the ps4 is on the power source (qate3 kahraba) as the modem or else it won't work. This isn't usually a problem unless its on another floor or in a bigger house but just wanted to let you know in case. You can also buy an airport express (just don't buy it at smart buy cause its pricey in Amman) as a booster for any router and it helps if you do face a problem with the power line extender. good luck!

It depends where you live but @Zain Jordan HQ they have so many locations for you to get and they can check depending on your location how well the router will work.

Thank you, but I already have an ADSL connection and I don't need a USB modem. What I need is a router powerful enough to penetrate the walls of my building to distribute wifi on both floors and all rooms.

Honestly speaking, since I'm only here for a year I wouldn't like to invest too much on a time capsule. The wifi signal I have works ok for most devices but I found my ps4 isn't doing so well with the signal. I'm considering getting a power line extender to reach the open floor with it. I saw one in smart buy taj mall last night and I think I'll go for that.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the power source.
