@An Tua Nua - definitely no frills in this place. Dollar draft beers and it also has a dance floor with top 40 playing. A lot of college kids attend this place from BU and entrance is typically 5 bucks. It can get either super packed or completely empty depending on the night you go. Thursdays are pretty happening. Also you can watch the games over there during the day.

@Eddie C's - Great little neighborhood bar that dates back to the post-prohibition era. With all the sports you can watch, @Eddie C's provides are great local atmosphere combined with $8 pitchers to guzzle. If you're worried about having to spend money on food you can bring in your own or, better yet, buy some chips at the bar.

Ooh, this is tough because there are so many but @Sligo Pub is probably my favorite. Located in Davis Square, Somerville, this place is DEFINITELY no frills. Cheap beer, and a great juke box to boot. Be aware that it is cash only (so old school!).

Not sure if it's actually considered a "dive bar", but @Joe Sent Me in Waltham is a pretty cool place with zero frills. Definitely go on a Tuesday night! (The Bentley crowd fills it up quite nicely).
